Good points! The journalist crowd’s timidity is astounding!

Another place it shows: there are journalists who, upon occasion, will lob, respectfully, an unfriendly question at Trump, only to be met by stupid and juvenile name-calling. “Piggy” for example. Why do they never fight back, demand apology, and force Trump’s goons to throw them out of the room? The optics would be better than for meek submission.

Journalist: “Mr. President, why did you do (despicable thing X)?”

Trump: “You’re disgusting and so is whatever media you’re with, you’re fake news and you’re ugly”

Journalist: “Sir, I will not be insulted by you. I demand an apology and, on behalf of the American people, a real answer to my question. Why won’t you give it?”

Trump: “Guards, throw this ugly, disgusting thing out of here!”

Such an incident would provoke infinitely greater buzz and publicity than meekly accepting his non-answer.

Why has no one tried this?

Thank you Todd, "Everyone one else should start here: The most urgent news isn’t the selective history recorded in the redacted Epstein files. It’s what the president is doing with his immense power, here, now, in public, apparently so that a child sex trafficker won’t tell what she knows."
