Why should anyone expect main stream media, owned by corporate oligarchs, to do anything but what they're doing? The NYT has been owned by Republicans forever, but in the past had some sense of integrity. The regular use of distorted headlines and burying information in the back pages for retractions of scurillous claims is commonplace these days. WaPo has been completely compromised by Bezos. ABC, CNN, and CBC are counting ceiling tiles. The left needs to use alternative media in the way the right has done since the end of the Fairness Doctrine. The republicans are running multiple ads that are nothing but lies - lawsuits filed by the left are funded by taxpayer money, if the BBB doesn’t pass taxes will increase, etc. Democrats should be running ads that expose the truth about what’s really in the BBB.
I think Democrats struggle to put the focus on Trump’s lying because Democratic Party leaders don’t have a moral foundation that makes them outraged by lying.
I think it's weird that nobody seems to care that DJT demanded Iran's "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER" all of 10 days ago, and whatever you think the best course of action (or no action at all) should be regarding Iran, what we have ended up with is far far short of whatever an unconditional surrender would be. I don't know if it's a lie necessarily, but it's an outcome that does not match his stated intent, and as far as I can tell, the media forgot he ever said that.
