Love it! I think the best aspect of Positively Dreadful was focusing each episode on a topic rather than the horse race (the horse race will naturally come up anyway, after all). And I really liked the last stretch you did where you had respectful debates. Idk anything about Yglesias but the last time y’all had a discussion it was a lot of fun.
I’m sure you’ve done research on this, but I’ve supported a few podcasts on Patreon. They tend to release one free episode a month, so unpaid subscribers have a sense of what they’re missing--it also signals that your show is active and the feed isn’t dead. Just a thought.
Yep. Not sure what the cadence will be, but each individual episode will have generous free content before the paywall, and some episodes will be free in their entirety even after the launch. Thanks as always for your encouragement Jacob.

I have one! I just didn't have it on hand when we recorded this promo, and thought the sound with my airpods would come out a bit better. But the actual episodes will be much better miked.
Though I am an "old" I do listen to podcasts on my morning walk. I particularly enjoyed yours because you have a lovely voice. Yglesias, on the other hand, has one of the most unpleasant voices I've ever heard. I'll stick to reading you and skip the podcast, I guess.
