Good morning, readers.

Here’s a quick roundup for the AMA.

  • Mediaite obtained the 2017 police report completed in the days after Pete Hegseth (the tier-two Fox News host and Donald Trump’s first-choice defense secretary) allegedly raped a Republican conference organizer in California. Reader discretion.

  • Trump wants Dr. Oz to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. What a world.

  • House Republicans voted to block the release of (read: cover up) the Ethics Committee report on Matt Gaetz (backbench former congressman and Trump’s first-choice attorney general), who apparently sex-trafficked a minor. Great call, Hakeem Jeffries.

  • Perhaps this will just create a Streisand effect, as details from the report (which, again, Republicans are trying to bury) leak out piecemeal. And Democrats will try to put every House Republican on the record. But if Republicans were gonna fall in line to help Trump corrupt the Justice Department as quickly as possible, in the most contemptuous, politically toxic way, this would be step one. (Over to you, Senate Republicans!)

Join the AMA!

  • The actual Republican response to Trump’s sex-pest appointments has been to organize an unprompted bullying campaign against incoming Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE), who is trans. Grotesque stuff.

  • The Trump-Musk-Ramaswamy plan to promote “government efficiency” is to break the law requiring the president to pay for the programs and jobs Congress has created and funded.

  • The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, for crimes against humanity.

  • Ukraine has increased the pace of strikes within Russia after the U.S. withdrew restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles.

  • The federal government wants to force Google to sell off Chrome, its web browser, in order to break up the company’s search monopoly. Curious how quickly the working-man populists of the GOP ride to Google’s rescue when they take over. Something to watch…

That’s a head start. Anything else on your mind? Ask away in the comments, or during the afternoon member live chat.

UPDATE: Gaetz is out, live chats are in.
