Everything coming to a head
Remember this early Off Message piece? Well, a lot’s happened since then, and some of the players are different (the name Mike Johnson appears nowhere in the article) but the dynamic has held. Suddenly we’re just moments away from the turbulence I described: Trump could lock up the GOP nomination and lose his New York businesses and force a government shutdown and find himself with no way to escape trial in Washington, DC, all within a few days.
